The Black Pearl includes the formal Commodore's Room and Tavern as well as the outdoor Waterside Patio. The Black Pearl is located on Bannister's Wharf, is open seven days a week but is not open from Jan. 3 to Feb 12.
Award winning chowder is a local favorite as well.

Freemantle from Washington DC said :I had the mispleasure of going to the Black Pearl in Newport today, while the food for the most part was good. The service of both the hostess and wait staff was the worst I have seen in years. For the price you are paying you should not recieve rudd remarks and/or comments from the people who are hired to serve you. We were made to feel unwelcome. Do yourself a favor do not waste your time or money here. Dine somewhere else.
