My mother actually opened and owned the original Slice of Heaven in the mid-1990s, and me and my family used to live in the two top floors. I went back to visit recently and saw that they had renamed the place like the original and transformed it from jsut a bakery and cafe to more of a restaurant. So I had to go in and try it for myself. I was really impressed with the food and service, as well as the renovations that had been made. It was still a great place to go for lunch and sit out on the open air patio like I used to do as a kid. I would definitely recommend Slice of Heaven for anyone looking for breakfast or lunch in a nice, casual atmosphere, or even a romantic dinner.
